  12. These past couple of weeks I've been trying to figure out what kind of
  13. modem I want.  I currently have two, (I plan on returning one) a Zoom
  14. ComStar 620 and a Cardinal MVP288Vi.  It seems like the Zoom connects at
  15. 26400 more consitently than the Cardinal but when the Cardinal connects at
  16. 26400 the throughput is about the same with maybe a slight edge going to
  17. the Zoom.  But the thing I really like about the Cardinal is the flash ROM
  18. and it's cheaper.  The two are close enough in performance that I think I
  19. could live with either one but I'm trying to figure out which would be
  20. better in the long run, and which company has a better reputation for
  21. support and upgrades.  Any suggestions?
